L3 promotes Davis

L3 Technologies said today it has named retired Air Force Lt. Gen. C.R. Davis senior vice president of L3 International, effective immediately.

"In this newly created position, he will oversee L3's international offices and serve as Chairman of the company's International Boards in Australia, Canada and the U.K.," L3 said. "Davis will report to Stephen F. O'Bryan, corporate senior vice president and L3's chief global business development officer, and collaborate on the development and execution of L3's worldwide business development strategy, including customer outreach, sales and marketing efforts."

In 2016, Davis joined L3 as senior vice president for business and strategic development in what's now the company's ISR systems segment. He most recently was acting president of the segment's reconnaissance mission systems unit.

Last week, O'Bryan told Inside Defense L3 must work collectively to boost its international business.

"I think there are tremendous upside opportunities," he said. "Without a collaborative approach, it's hard to go internationally."
