Lawmakers release FY-20 appropriations agreement

The House today released the details of its fiscal year 2020 appropriations agreement, merging defense with other spending bills in one of two "minibus" packages.

The defense bill is in line with the $738 billion the House voted to authorize last week.

Congress must pass the minibuses and the president must sign them before a stopgap continuing resolution expires Friday at midnight, otherwise the federal government will shutdown.
