Leidos reports sales growth in defense business

Leidos said today sales in its defense solutions business during the most recent quarter totaled $1.4 billion, up almost 11% from the same three-month period a year earlier.

The unit reported quarterly profit of $124 million, up 55% from the prior year.

In 2019, the defense solutions group reported sales of nearly $5.4 billion, up 8% from 2018. The unit posted 2019 profit of $407 million, up 15% from a year earlier.
