Lockheed Martin said today it has named retired Army Brig. Gen. Joe Rank chief executive of Lockheed Martin Saudi Arabia.

"Rank will lead the company's growing business in the Kingdom with responsibilities for building and cultivating key partner relationships and supporting the Kingdom's strategic business pursuits," the contractor said.

He succeeds Alan Chinoda, who will work for Lockheed in the United States.

Rank spent more than three decades in the Army. Most recently, he was acting deputy assistant secretary of defense for Middle East policy.
