Lockheed Martin won a $1.2 billion fixed-price, incentive-fee foreign military sales contract from the Air Force to upgrade 134 F-16s for the South Korea Air Force, the Defense Department said Nov. 18.

Aircraft will be converted to the fourth-generation F-16V, which features the Active Electronically Scanned Array radar, Link-16 theater data link, sniper advanced targeting pod, advanced weapons, precision GPS and automatic ground collision avoidance, according to Lockheed.

Upgrades are expected to be finished by Nov. 15, 2025.
