The Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday will consider the nomination of former Textron executive Ellen Lord to become the under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics, as well as other senior-level defense nominees.

President Trump announced Lord's selection June 28. Inside Defense has compiled Lord's policy views from past interviews and speeches.

The committee will also consider John Gibson to be deputy chief management officer, Lucian Niemeyer to be assistant secretary of defense for energy, installations and environment; and Matthew Donovan to be under secretary of the Air Force.

Gibson most recently served as the president and chief executive of XCOR Aerospace.

Niemeyer and Donovan both previously served as staffers for the Senate Armed Services Committee.
