Marine Corps Systems Command recently realigned its organizational structure to comply with guidance from the service's commandant.

Marine Corps Commandant Gen. Robert Neller's Fragmentation Order No. 1, issued last year, called for a review of the service's force structure and organization. MARCORSYSCOM chief Brig. Gen. Joseph Shrader concurrently ordered a force-structure review for his office.

"We looked at MCSC's nine program offices, supporting staff elements, and subordinate command Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity to determine if the command was optimally aligned around the nature of the products it provides the MAGTF," Shrader said in a service statement.

Shrader implemented the organizational change June 1 to mimic how the Marine Air-Ground Task Force is assembled. "Complete integration of the new structure is planned for Oct. 1," he stated.
