The Navy yesterday awarded Boeing a $1.9 billion contract in foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia for 650 Stand-Off Land Attack Missile-Expanded Response missiles, as well as associated non-recurring engineering.

The non-recurring engineering is for obsolescence redesign efforts, according to a May 13 Defense Department announcement. Boeing is scheduled to finish the work by December 2028.

Separately, the service also awarded Boeing a $656 million contract modification for 467 Harpoon missiles for various foreign customers including Brazil, Thailand, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
