Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking information for electronic equipment related to cybersecurity defenses on the Navy's surface ships, according to a Jan. 11 Federal Business Opportunities notice.

The equipment would host a government-owned cybersecurity computer program operating environment and related software applications.

"The [request for proposals], if issued, will likely require the successful offeror to design each of the enclosures to meet the performance requirements and to test (1) of each type of unit as first article test units," the request for information said.

Responses to the RFI are due Jan. 25.
