New Navy secretary issues priorities list

Navy Secretary Richard Spencer has issued a "mission, vision, and priorities" memo to service members. Spencer highlighted "people, capabilities, and processes" as his key priorities.

Spencer's memo states the warfighting capabilities the Navy now has must be maintained to continue to provide the nation with maritime dominance and power projection.

"We will drive efficiency, adopt and implement new ideas, and leverage from industry and academia to positively impact and support acquisition, manpower, research, and operational processes," Spencer wrote.
