Oshkosh said today it has named John Pfeifer president and chief executive, effective April 2.
He will succeed Wilson Jones, who will retire on the same date.

"Upon his additional appointment to President in May 2020, Pfeifer also assumed responsibility for the Company's Defense segment and the global supply chain, digital technology and marketing functions," the company added.
He previously led Mercury Marine, which specializes in marine propulsion systems, and held positions with ITT.
