Raytheon receives SEC subpoena

Raytheon disclosed yesterday it has received a subpoena from the Securities and Exchange Commission related to an investigation into payments on certain contracts with Middle Eastern countries.

In a filing with the SEC, Raytheon said the subpoena is "seeking information in connection with an investigation into whether there were improper payments made by Thales-Raytheon Systems (TRS), Raytheon or anyone acting on their behalf in connection with TRS or Raytheon contracts in certain Middle East countries since 2014."

The company said it is "cooperating fully" with the inquiry and "examining whether there has been any conduct that is in violation of Raytheon policy."
