The Senate voted 81-11 today to pass a fiscal year 2020 national security spending package that would provide $738 billion in total defense spending.

The national security "minibus" is one of two packages that make up a broad $1.37 trillion FY-20 discretionary spending deal already passed by the House.

President Trump has until Friday at midnight to sign the measures into law, otherwise the federal government will shut down.
