Artificial intelligence company SparkCognition said today it has created SparkCognition Government Systems, focused entirely on government and national defense.
The unit will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary.
"Using technologies built in the United States, SGS evolves SparkCognition's innovative commercial systems and tailors them for the public sector, with a focus on improving the performance of critical operational functions in a cost-effective manner," the company said.
SparkCognition today rolled out a board of directors for the new government systems business. Among the directors are retired Gen. John Allen; Lisa Disbrow, the former under secretary of the Air Force; retired Adm. John Richardson, the former chief of naval operations; former Deputy Defense Secretary Bob Work; and Michèle Flournoy, the former under secretary of defense for policy.
