State Department approves possible Super Hornet sales to Canada

The State Department today approved a possible foreign military sale valued at up to $5.23 billion, including 10 F/A-18E Super Hornet aircraft and eight F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft to Canada, according to a Defense Security Cooperation Agency announcement.

The sale also includes associated weapons, warfare systems and support software.

The principal contractors include Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and General Electric. Canada will negotiate offset agreements with the contractors, according to DSCA.
