Naval Air Systems Command chief Vice Adm. Paul Grosklags anticipates T-45C Goshawk student pilots will resume flight in "weeks, not months."

T-45C student pilots have not flown since April after numerous reports of physiological episodes.

Grosklags said today during a Senate Armed Services seapower subcommittee hearing that once student pilots return to flight they should be able to resume the full training syllabus.

Student pilots are currently delayed reaching their operational squadrons by a rate of about 25 pilots each month. Grosklags anticipates that by the end of June, 75 students will have been delayed from getting to operational squadrons.
