Textron reports increased sales at Bell, Textron Systems

Bell and Textron Systems both this week reported improved quarterly sales.

Bell said sales during its most recent quarter totaled $823 million, up 11% from the same three-month period a year earlier, primarily thanks to higher military sales.

The unit's quarterly profit hit $115 million, up almost 11% from the prior year.

Textron Systems recorded quarterly sales of $328 million, up 7% from a year earlier. The unit said quarterly profit totaled $26 million, down 7% from the prior year.
