A pair of Army two-stars has been nominated for promotion to lieutenant general.

The Senate Armed Services Committee received nominations June 6 for Maj. Gen. Thomas Horlander, director of the Army budget, and Maj. Gen. Bruce Crawford.

Horlander has served as budget director since July 2014. His predecessor, Lt. Gen. Karen Dyson, now serves as the military deputy to the Army comptroller.

Crawford relinquished command of Communications-Electronics Command and Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, to Maj. Gen. Randy Taylor on April 13. He had commanded CECOM since May 2014.
