The Navy today released a classified draft request for proposals for the Unmanned Carrier Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike air segment to the four companies already under contract to conduct preliminary design reviews for the program, according to a service statement.
The purpose of the of the draft RFP is to solicit industry proposals for the design, development, assembly, delivery, testing and integration of the air segment into the UCLASS system, Navy spokeswoman Jamie Cosgrove wrote in an April 17 email.
Inside the Navy reported earlier this month that senior leaders were undergoing a final review of UCLASS requirements before releasing the draft RFP.
