The week ahead

This week, many of the largest defense contractors announce quarterly earnings, while some Marine Corps officials will gather at an annual expeditionary warfare conference.

Monday

The National Defense Industrial Association begins its Systems Engineering conference, which includes remarks from Vice Adm. Paul Grosklags, commander of Naval Air Systems Command. The event runs through Thursday.

Tuesday

NDIA's Expeditionary Warfare conference, featuring Lt. Gen. Robert Hedelund, commanding general of II Marine Expeditionary Force, and William Williford, executive director of Marine Corps Systems Command, kicks off and runs through Thursday.

The Precision Strike Technology Symposium, which includes presentations by Gen. Stephen Wilson, vice chief of staff of the Air Force, and Lt. Gen. John Dolan, director for operations (DJ-3) on the Joint Staff, begins. The event continues through Thursday.

Lockheed Martin executives are scheduled to address the company's quarterly earnings.

The Defense Innovation Board is slated to meet.

Wednesday

Executives from Boeing, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman are slated to discuss quarterly earnings.

The Government-Industry Advisory Panel will begin a two-day meeting.

Thursday

Executives from L3 Technologies and Raytheon are slated to address quarterly earnings.

NDIA hosts an event with Lt. Gen. Jack Shanahan, director for defense intelligence (warfighter support) in the office of the under secretary of defense for intelligence.
