The White House announced yesterday five defense executives will serve as part of what it is calling "Great American Economic Revival Industry Groups."

The names were rolled out as President Trump unveiled plans to consult with business leaders on when to reopen the country, which has been shut down in most areas to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a release, the White House said the "bipartisan groups of American leaders will work together with the White House to chart the path forward toward a future of unparalleled American prosperity."

"The health and wealth of America is the primary goal, and these groups will produce a more independent, self-sufficient, and resilient nation," the administration said.

The defense group includes Marillyn Hewson, the chief executive of Lockheed Martin; Darius Adamczyk, CEO of Honeywell; Kathy Warden, Northrop Grumman's CEO; Greg Hayes, CEO of Raytheon Technologies; and Phebe Novakovic, CEO of General Dynamics.
