Williams confirmed to be ASN for energy, installations and environment

The Senate this week confirmed by voice vote retired Rear Adm. Charles Williams to be the assistant secretary of the Navy for energy, installations and environment.

Williams was an aviator and contracting officer until he retired in 2005. He most recently worked in commercial real estate, according to his service biography.

His predecessor, Phyllis Bayer, resigned last year.
