Wormuth's nomination moves to full Senate

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted to advance the nomination of Christine Wormuth to become Army secretary.

Wormuth, if confirmed by the full Senate, would become the first female Army secretary.

She is currently the director of the RAND International Security and Defense Policy Center and previously served in the Obama administration as under secretary of defense for policy.
