On Dec. 15, 2008, the Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture of the United States released its interim report which urges the United States to reduce its reliance on nuclear weapons. Also includes a joint statement from House Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton (D-MO), Ranking Member Duncan Hunter (R-CA), strategic forces subcommittee Chairwoman Ellen Tauscher (D-CA) and Ranking Member Terry Everett (R-AL).
