On Jan. 15, 2009, the Senate Armed Services Committee held a hearing on President-elect Barack Obama's nominations for William Lynn as deputy defense secretary; Robert Hale as Pentagon comptroller; Michèle Flournoy as under secretary of defense for policy; and Jeh Charles Johnson as DOD general counsel.
