Marine Energy Assessment Team's Afghanistan Report

In a January 2011 report, an ad-hoc team of energy assessors convened by the commandant of the Marine Corps recommends the serrvice make a number of changes to lower the cost and risk of providing energy and water to forces operating in Afghanistan, including advice to better match electrical power load to demand in order to eliminate wasted energy, and to exploit local water sources, replacing bottled water shipments.
