Vectrus loses second major recompetition

Vectrus said late Thursday it did not win the recompetition of the largest contract in its portfolio, marking the second key recompetition the company has recently lost.

The contractor announced it was not awarded the Kuwait Base Operations & Security Support Services, or K-BOSSS, contract, which Vectrus said earlier this year provides about 30 percent of its revenue. The Pentagon announced Thursday that KBR-Triple Canopy won a $117 million contract for base operations and security support services in Kuwait after five bids were received.

Vectrus said the program had provided the company $218 million in sales through June of this year.

"Vectrus is reviewing the Army decision and will further determine the impact and the way ahead as they receive additional debriefing information," the company said in its announcement.

Earlier this month, Vectrus said it was not selected for the Army Prepositioned Stocks-5 contract, which had provided $93 million in sales through June of this year.
