Vectrus said today its board has named Chuck Prow president and chief executive, effective immediately.

Prow succeeds Ken Hunzeker, who retired Monday. Prow, 57, has been an executive at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

"As part of the Vectrus succession planning process, the board undertook a comprehensive search," the company said. "Based on his solid record of developing strong teams and expanding market share at various federal agencies, Prow was selected as the best candidate to lead Vectrus in growing the business and increasing shareholder value."

Earlier this year, Vectrus reported it did not win two major recompetitions.  The company was not awarded the Kuwait Base Operations & Security Support Services, or K-BOSSS, contract, on which the Army is now taking corrective action. Vectrus also did not receive the Army Prepositioned Stocks-5 contract, which it has protested.
