F-35A unit cost drops 7 percent in Lot 10; WH credits 'presidential intervention'

The F-35 joint program office on Feb. 3 reached an agreement with Lockheed Martin to produce 90 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft in low-rate initial production Lot 10 -- after more than a year of negotiations.
