Navy announces it will initiate contract action to Ingalls for LPD-29

Minutes after the fiscal year 2017 consolidated appropriations bill was signed into law, the Navy issued a presolicitation announcing it would initiate a contract action for LPD-29 to Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls. The solicitation will cover detail design and construction for the LPD-29 amphibious transport docking ship.
