Senate bill would require losing protest bidders to reimburse DOD

The Senate Armed Services Committee's version of the fiscal year 2018 defense authorization bill would require large contractors that lose their bid protests to cover the costs. According to the legislation, if a company with more than $100 million in revenue the previous year files a protest and all elements of that protest are denied by the Government Accountability Office, the company must "pay to the Department of Defense costs incurred for processing a protest at the Government Accountability Office...
