Raytheon, L3 report sales increases

Raytheon and L3 Technologies this week both reported sales increases in their most recent quarters. Raytheon announced that sales in its most recent quarter grew about 4 percent to reach $6.3 billion. However, the company’s profit faltered, falling about 23 percent to hit $553 million. Raytheon said it recorded a $39 million pre-tax charge in the quarter associated with early retirement of debt it repurchased.
