Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles Croom, the European Command's director of command, control, communications and computers, this week blamed the defense industry for some of the interoperability problems encountered by U.S. pilots during Operation Desert Storm, saying too little emphasis is given to ensuring high-tech systems work well together.
