Navy establishes LCS program office to support Saudi Arabia buy

The Navy will establish a Littoral Combat Ship program office this weekend to support the foreign military sale to Saudi Arabia, Inside the Navy has learned. Saudi Arabia is buying a derivative of Lockheed Martin's Freedom-class variant. The country is on contract to purchase four frigates at a cost of about $6 billion, and has a requirement for a total of eight frigates.
