CR could delay key construction for F-35 beddown at Eielson AFB

The lack of a fiscal year 2018 funding appropriation has stalled new military construction contracts at Eielson Air Force Base, AK, that are key to preparing the base to begin receiving F-35s in 2020. The arrival of 54 F-35s at Eielson AFB will increase the number of personnel supporting the base by 50 percent, according to the Program Integration Office Director for the 354th Fighter Wing, which will be receiving the jets.
