Army receives low-rate initial production approval for Manpack radio

The Army's program executive office for command, control and communications-tactical has received authorization to proceed to the next production phase for its Manpack radio. Col. Jim Ross, project manager for tactical radios, told Inside the Army March 19 his office had received authorization earlier that day to proceed to low-rate initial production for the Manpack radio.
