Navy plans to study effects of increased training at Point Mugu

The Navy intends to study the environmental effects of increasing the training tempo at Point Mugu Sea Range in California, a reflection of an increased operational tempo. The service announced its intent to issue a new environmental impact statement through an April 27 Federal Register notice . The study will include consequences associated with an "increased tempo of military research, development, testing and evaluation and training activities at the Point Mugu Sea Range, and new missions areas and platforms."
