Congressional authorizers must decide fate of LCS in conference

The congressional authorization committees will have to decide the future of the Littoral Combat Ship in conference because the House and Senate's respective marks disagree on the direction of the program. The Senate Armed Services Committee announced May 24 they would authorize one LCS in fiscal year 2019, while their House counterparts have agreed to the purchase of three vessels.
