BAE hires Trainer

BAE Systems' U.S. business said today it has named Peter Trainer vice president and general manager of its Air Force solutions unit.

Trainer "will lead a unit that provides the Air Force and combatant commands with innovative solutions to help modernize, maintain, test, and cyber-harden aircraft, radars, missile systems, and mission applications that detect and deter threats to national security," the company said.

Trainer comes to BAE from Science Applications International Corp., where he oversaw business development, management and strategy in the company's Air Force operations unit. Trainer spent 30 years in the Air Force, including serving on its legislative liaison staff.
