DOD IG: Army mismanaged maintenance of vehicles, weapons in Kuwait and Qatar

The Defense Department inspector general has determined the Army failed to properly oversee the maintenance schedules of its prepositioned stock equipment in Kuwait and Qatar after switching contractors, according to a new report. URS Federal Services took over the maintenance contract from Vectrus in May 2017, with an award of up to $393 million, following a two-month transition period.
