When President Trump signed the 2019 defense policy bill on Aug. 13, he authorized multiyear buys of two major aircraft programs for the Navy. The Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act contains language that approves the multiyear procurement of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
