DOD IG to audit Army's Integrated Air and Missile Defense program

The Defense Department's inspector general has begun an audit to assess the affordability of the Army's Integrated Air and Missile Defense program, the IG announced last month. The ambitious IAMD program contains multiple efforts to achieve network-centric, "plug-and-fight" integration of capabilities like the Sentinel radar and Patriot air-defense launchers, and eventually the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system and Indirect Fire Protection Capability.
