Maximus to buy GDIT assets

Maximus said this week it has agreed to acquire "certain assets of General Dynamics Information Technology’s large-scale, citizen-engagement centers in the U.S. Federal civilian market" for $400 million in cash.

The deal is slated to close in mid-November.

"This acquisition is a natural fit for Maximus and expands its reach in the delivery of citizen services," the company said. "The acquisition enables greater economies of scale and brings enhanced technology and added operational capabilities that will benefit the entire Maximus portfolio."

The assets set to be acquired recorded revenue of about $670 million in the year ending June 2018, the company said.
