Army 'altered' new cannon artillery requirement to compete with Russia

The Army's requirements for a new high-priority cannon for its self-propelled artillery fleet have been directly influenced by observations from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to the service's newest four-star commander. Army Futures Command chief Gen. Mike Murray told reporters at the Association of the United States Army's annual meeting the service "changed or altered" the desired range for the Extended Range Cannon Artillery advanced technology development project in response to findings of a close look at Russia's artillery ranges...
