XLUUV prototype contracts to be awarded in early 2019

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- The Navy expects to award fabrication contracts in early 2019 for phase two of a new unmanned undersea vehicle program, according to an officer overseeing the effort. Lockheed Martin and a Boeing-Huntington Ingalls team will each undergo a critical design review for their versions of the Orca Extra Large UUV -- or XLUUV -- this week, Navy Capt.
