Navy taps established player Northrop, newcomer L3 for new airborne electronic attack competition

The Navy has launched an expected multibillion-dollar competition for the second iteration of the Next Generation Jammer program -- the project to develop the capability to disrupt sensors with a powerful low-frequency beam -- by tapping Northrop Grumman, an established supplier in this technology space, and newcomer L3 Technologies.
