Network Designs announced today that retired Army Col. Anthony Zeruto is its new president and CEO.

Zeruto will succeed retired Army Brig. Gen. Martin Schweitzer, who has been president and CEO since 2015. Schweitzer will remain with the company in a senior executive advisory capacity on its newly formed board of advisers.

"We are thrilled to have Anthony at the helm of NDi," Kevin McGreevy, co-founder and executive vice president, said in a statement. "He will continue the excellence in leadership that Marty demonstrated every day while leading us the past four years. Mr. Zeruto is a leader who will guide NDi through its next phase of growth so that we will continue to deliver mission-critical value and thought leadership for our clients, as always."

NDi does cybersecurity work for the Navy and other government departments.

Zeruto comes to NDi from Unisys, where he served the last two years as their executive director of industry for the Unisys Stealth suite of cybersecurity software, which is focused on zero-trust, software defined micro-segmentation for the protection of applications, data centers and transport layers.

A 24-year Army veteran, Zeruto's last post was as commander of NSA-Georgia at Ft. Gordon, GA. In this capacity, he led the largest and most complex joint, interagency, and multinational signals intelligence and cyber command in the Defense Department.

Zeruto has also served as director of operations for Army Cyber Command. In that role, Zeruto was responsible for directing the Army's full spectrum cyberspace operations, including Defense Department information network operations, as well as defensive and offensive cyberspace operations. His experience also includes extensive service as a senior intelligence officer within special operations forces in Iraq, the Levant and Africa.
