Navy 2020 budget: $205.6B topline, 20-year high for shipbuilding

The Navy plans to request a $205.6 billion topline, including what is projected to be the largest requested shipbuilding budget in 20 years, according to fiscal year 2020 budget briefing slides obtained by Inside Defense. The budget, according to the slides dated March 11 , is broken down into $61.1 billion for procurement, $20.4 billion for research and development, $68.5 billion for operations and maintenance, $52.1 billion for military personnel and $3.5 billion for infrastructure.
