Pentagon wants Congress to ease pricing data pulls

The Pentagon is asking Congress to loosen restrictions on some large acquisition programs by reducing the amount of data required to make determinations of "price reasonableness." Congress currently allows the Defense Department to run a pilot program to accelerate contracting and pricing of foreign military sales by basing price reasonableness determinations on data for recent DOD purchases of the same product or one similar, rather than conducting new evaluations.
