General Dynamics Information Technology this week filed a protest with the Government Accountability Office over the services portion of the Next Generation Enterprise Network.

According to GAO's docket, the protest was filed March 4 and a decision is now due June 12. General Dynamics declined to comment.

Last month, the Navy awarded Leidos a contract worth up to $7.7 billion for the program.

Roger Krone, Leidos' chief executive, said last month that he expects a protest, but is optimistic Leidos will prevail.

"As I read the award letter, we won by a significant amount," he said. "It would appear from the way I read the letter that we were a significantly better value than the next competitor."
